By visiting the Les's Cycles website you accept, and agree to, the content of these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check regularly before ordering and preserve a copy for your own records. None of these terms affect your UK statutory rights.
In order to make a purchase from Les's Cycles you must be over 18 years of age. Les's Cycles retains the right to refuse any request(s) made by you. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the payment method and have permission to make payment in full and final terms.
By making any purchase via our website (www.lescycles.co.uk), you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Section One: Special Terms Regarding Delivery
Please see our Delivery page for further guidance here; https://lescycles.co.uk/pages/delivery
Specific delivery related terms you agree to;
Special Condition 1.) No delivery times are ever guaranteed, and delivery charges are non-refundable in cases of returns or cancellations unless we accept there is a fault with the order where we accept responsibility.
Special Condition 2.) E-bikes and some other products cannot be delivered outside of the mainland UK. In some cases you may be able to pay a further surcharge to get the item delivered and we will quote you and request payment before dispatch. If we dispatch your items and it later comes liable to pay a surcharge due to its destination, you will be requested to pay this at the cost quoted by the carrier, otherwise the order will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund of the original delivery charge if it was applicable.
Special Condition 3.) It is the customers responsibility to arrange the safe return of any purchase, whether there is a fault or not. We do not as standard offer collections of products even when there is a fault with it, you must still make arrangements to return it safely and without causing any harm to the product not previously recorded.
Special Condition 4.) We do not deliver ANY items to Salford in Greater Manchester (or within a 10 mile radius at our discretion) due to ongoing issues with deliveries and customer behaviour.
Special Condition 5.) In the case where our courier has recorded delivery to the address you specified on an order and provided us with their definition of acceptable proof, any such consignment will be considered delivered - so for example if you claim non-delivery in the case it was delivered to a safe spot within a 100 meter radius of your property or otherwise, you will need to follow up with the relevant authorities as we will classify the order as successfully delivered.
Section Two: Special Terms Regarding Warranty Claims and Faults with a Bike or E-bike
When you make a purchase on our website (www.lescycles.co.uk) and tick your agreement to the Terms and Conditions, your agreement to these terms is automatically activated. Once the purchase is complete, the order is confirmed and your agreement to these terms forms a contract of purchase. We highly recommend your familiarise yourself with the warranty information on this page (https://lescycles.co.uk/pages/warranty-procedures-and-delivery-problems) - all information there is applicable to any order you place as well as the below special conditions which you also explicitly agree to when making any purchase from us;
Special Condition 6.) Scratches and/or other cosmetic imperfections/damage not reported within 24 hours of delivery OR not reported before any usage will not be considered for claim.
Special Condition 7.) Damage or failure to pedal(s) or crank arms is not accepted at any time. This issue is caused by incorrect fitment, and we do not make warranty claims for this via any brand or supplier.
Special Condition 8.) Snapped/broken chains or derailleur failure/damage and related gear adjustment issues such as slipping or index issues are not covered past 14 days from the recorded date of delivery of your order other than where we make special arrangements subject to our own discretion.
Special Condition 9.) Where it is judged that an issue you report is potentially a warranty fault, you agree to take your bike or the affected component to our retail store or an authorised brand dealer (HALFORDS stores are excluded) who will carry out the work under warranty conditions. In many cases you will need to pay for an inspection beforehand, which is your responsibility. You should ensure this cost is below £50.00 at all times, as otherwise even in the case where it is accepted as a warranty fault after an inspection which we recognise, we only will cover costs to that £50.00 limit.
Special Condition 10.) In cases where we agree to make a warranty claim on your behalf, you agree to accept the outcome provided by the warranty issuer, even where you judge it to not be in your favour.
Special Condition 11.) In cases where you are judged by us to have either; caused any fault or wear/tear during fair usage or a fault has developed due to mis-use, improper storage or lack of regular maintenance (all bicycles should be serviced every 90 days ideally or at least once per 180 days), your case will be declined and there will be no further follow up.
Special Condition 12.) Any fault or damage to a bicycle which we consider to have been caused during assembly by the customer will be declined. We recommend all customers have their bicycles professionally built with an independent dealer after delivery.
Special Condition 13.) In order to process and apply for a warranty claim on your behalf, you must provide the information and photographs requested under the 'Required Information' heading on this page; https://lescycles.co.uk/pages/warranty-procedures-and-delivery-problems otherwise a claim will not be made.
Special Condition 14.)
