Here you will find the best approximate information on optimal sizing that we can offer. Sizing varies by the manufacturer, type of bike, and other variants but this rough guide should help give you an idea. Sizing can also be individually subjective so If you have any more specific requirements regarding this information, we highly recommend calling our expert staff on 01268 695877 or coming into the shop.

We also recommend researching the manufacturer of the bike you are interested in directly - many manufacturer websites now offer a dedicated fit/size guide where you can enter your measurements on official websites.

This may be quicker depending on the supplier. Just place your order, sit back, relax and wait for your tracking number!

EXCLUSIONS/INFO/TERMS

It is very important to ensure you include an accurate mobile telephone number and e-mail address when placing your order or your order will be delayed.

JBS should also contact you with a delivery window on the day - its very important to note that if you miss the delivery you'll need to pay a re-booking fee to arrange a re-delivery.

Excluded delivery locations include but are NOT limited to; Northern Ireland, All Isles and Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man. Parts of Scotland beyond Glasgow can only be delivered by Parcelforce as other carriers will not take the bikes or take extra time. We also reserve the right to deny delivery to any additional area that isn't listed previously should it incur us extra charges or for operational reasons delivery cannot be made.

Over the last several years, Les's Cycles have dispatched millions of pounds worth of bicycles and parts/accessories to our valued customers across the entirety of the UK, which is no easy feat for an independent bike shop - so we understand that the delivery process is one of the most important considerations when buying your brand new ride. We work hard seven days a week to support customers during delivery and to keep finding new solutions and services to help to make the process even better!

Disclaimer: Rarely delivery times may be exceeded due to external issues. It is important to note that we do not guarantee delivery dates as preparing and delivering bikes safely is a complex and important process to get right. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Important: Very rarely 'supplier warehouse stock' may not be available even though its advertised as being in stock. This is unfortunately out of our hands and we'll contact you should this issue arise to arrange a full refund or exchange.

Order Cancellations / Non-Fault Returns

By placing any order with us you agree to these terms. Due to the large amount of time, administration and overall work that goes into arranging delivery of bicycles, its very important to make sure you are certain you wish to proceed with an order.

If after placing your order you decide to cancel or not accept delivery of your order, or it is not delivered due to missed delivery attempts, you will be charged the following amounts which will be deducted from your refund amount;

Electric Bikes - £80.00 + VAT

Non-Electric Bikes - £35 + VAT

Please note that if the courier states that an attempt has been made, this is regarded as factual by us, even if you state that 'no card was left' etc.

*We require a minimum voucher value of £500 in order to process a scheme purchase, from any provider.

As one of the BIGGEST Independent UK Bike Shops, Les's Cycles process multiple Cycle To Work scheme orders everyday, dispatching bikes across the UK. All voucher related sales are subject to availability and our discretion to accept them*.

We highly recommend you place a non-refundable deposit on any bike you wish to purchase via a scheme to ensure it is reserved for you, though this is not absolutely required.

In the event that a deposit paid will not be used on a purchase involving a voucher, you can convert it to store credit only in the form of a gift voucher or discount code against a separate purchase.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING SALE BIKES: Any bike that has been reduced in value still CAN be acquired but customers will need to cover the fees imposed on us by the scheme provider(s), listed below. Unfortunately the charges imposed by scheme providers are very high, much higher than usual transactional fees. There is no flexibility with this and we only offer sale or reduced products on scheme services as a gesture of goodwill to our customers.

You can either add the surcharge to your voucher total or pay it separately (recommended).

Example scheme provider fees for Sale products;

To get started and place an order:

Give us a call during open hours on 01268 695 877 - We'll need you to provide details on the scheme you wish to use and the bike and size required so that we can confirm its available. If you are not ready to immediately proceed, you will be advised to place a small non-refundable deposit to hold the bike. The deposit will be paid back or counted towards commission charges if applicable. If after six weeks you do not redeem an order with us after reserving a bike, deposits are non-refundable and can only be converted to store credit.

The Claud Butler Alpina range has been completely overhauled for 2024, with two models, a new frame, modern trail riding geometry and the latest in Shimano CUES – our vision for the Alpina was to create a bike that thrives exploring UK trails.

Our latest Claud Butler MTB range makes use of 1x10 drivetrain, and that’s exactly where we started with the Alpina 2.0. Using Shimano’s latest CUES series drivetrain components, the wide range 11-48t cassette makes lightwork of gruelling climbs, while the narrow/wide 32t chainset keeps the chain in place over rough terrain. We have also stayed with Shimano for the brakes, using their ever-reliable MT200 hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent and reliable stopping power.

The Alpina was always about developing a mountain bike that could handle the demands of UK trail centres and off-piste wild tracks, and central to that is modern-thinking frame geometry, specifically built around a 100mm fork and 29in wheels. Longer top tubes and slacker head angles combined with super short 45mm stems and ultra-wide 750mm handlebars result in a confidence inspiring ride that feels controlled while you enjoy the thrill of the trail. Adding to this, we’ve used 29x2.25” WTB Ranger tyres that are known for their fast-rolling, good puncture resistance and good grip across a range of trail conditions.

All in, the Alpina 2.0 is a serious bike for those looking to enter the world of mountain biking or even develop their existing skills further.

Customer Reviews of Les's Cycles

★★★★★

Les’s Cycles has to be the best cycle shop in Essex. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
A small store from the outside but an Aladdin’s cave on the inside.
Not at all pushy like big chains.
Will not be going anywhere else from now on
Thank you Les’s Cycles

Just got my e bike sorted by Les Cycles. They were brilliant. My bike is under warranty and the manufacturer wasn’t very helpful at all. Despite this Les Cycles persisted and managed to eventually get the part needed. They fixed it all up and now I’m happily cycling again. Would definitely recommend them. The after care they give is truly first class.

★★★★★

The best bike shop by far.
Order a bike late on a Saturday (11:30pm) and by 11am the next day it was built and ready for me to collect.
The staff were more than happy to spend time explaining all about my new ebike, never had one so I had alot of questions.
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
